Huawei Honor 8 Lite Launched With Single 12MP Camera and Latest Android 7.0 Nougat

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has silently launched its new smartphone- Honor 8 Lite in Finland. Offered in four captivating colour options of Black, Blue, Gold, and White, the new device is priced to retail at EUR 269 (Approx. INR 19,600). But for now only the White and Black coloured variants will be available while the Gold and Blue colour trims are expected to be endowed in next weeks. The bookings for the Honor 8 lite has already been initiated, whereas the sale will start from February 17.

The Honor 8 lite is reported to manufacture in Finland, Suomimobiili website confirmed it. Specification-wise, the new Honor 8 seems much inspired from the recently launched new generation version of Huawei P8 Lite (2017), as it shares lots of features from the mentioned model. Although, it also features some different and improved utilities as the Honor 8 Lite runs on EMUI 5.0, based on Android Nougat.

Honor 8 Lite With Single 12MP And 8MP Selfie Camera

Supporting a 5.2-inch LTPS display with Full HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution, new Honor 8 Lite gets a 2.5D curved glass protection. A built in-house mid range Kirin 655 octa-core CPU, runs this newbie in association with 3GB RAM. Comparatively, an earlier launched elder sibling, the Honor 8 sports a Kirin 950 SoC processor with 4GB RAM. for storage, a 16 GB internal and up to 128GB expandable option via external microSD card is being offered by the smartphone.

On the camera front, the Honor 8 Lite sports a single 12-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8-megapixel front camera with a 77-degree wide-angle lens, is also there for shooting selfies. Backed by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery, the device will last long more than a day considering regular use. Dimensionally measuring 137.2 x 72.94 x 7.6 mm and weighs 147 grams, the Honor 8 Lite availability in international markets are not confirmed yet.
