Huawei Honor 8 Pro On Sale In India From Today Via Amazon

Last week, the Huawei terminal brand Honor had launched the Honor 8 Pro in India that sports a dual rear camera setup. Now, the same flagship Honor handset has been made available to buy in India from today via the Amazon Prime Day sale occasion that kicks off at 6 pm IST. It must be noted that the Honor Pro 8 sale is exclusively for Amazon Prime members and the open sales for the Honor 8 Pro will begin from 12 am on July 13. The smartphone has been made available only in its Navy Blue and Midnight Black color variants in India.

Huawei Honor 8 Pro comes with Google Cardboard

To recall, this Huawei smartphone made its way to the country after an exact time period of one month from its global launching, and the highlighting features of it include 6GB RAM, a massive 4000 mAh battery, and a dual rear camera setup. Interestingly, the retail box of the Honor 8 Pro can also be converted into a Google Cardboard viewer for VR experience. The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor at the rear side and will be available in Navy Blue and Midnight Black color variants in India.

The new Honor 8 Pro Android smartphone will be available only in the 6GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage variant in the country with a price tag of Rs 29,999. Considering the pricing, we can clearly see that the smartphone will directly compete with the 6GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage of the OnePlus 5 smartphone, which is available in Indian market with a price tag of Rs 32,999.

The smartphone is exclusively available via Amazon India and will go on its first sale on Monday, July 10 at 6 pm IST exclusively for Amazon Prime members, whereas the open sale of the smartphone will start from 12 am on July 13. Notably, Amazon Prime Day is also getting started from the same day (July 10), and on that day, Prime subscribers will get 15 percent cash back on the purchase of Honor 8 Pro using HDFC credit or debit cards. During its open sale, the leading e-commerce giant is offering its Vodafone 45GB over five months offer along with no-cost EMI option to the buyers.

Coming next to specifications, the Dual-SIM smartphone features a 5.7-inch QHD LTPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Honor 8 Pro runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1 OS, which has been claimed to complete 90 percent of core operations in just 3 steps. It is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz) paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

In term of optics, the GSM handset packs a dual rear camera setup, which includes two 12-megapixel sensors along with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording. One of the two cameras at the rear side takes the images in RGB whereas the other sensor takes the images in monochrome. An 8-megapixel front shooter with a 77-degree wide-angle lens is also provided by the company for selfie enthusiasts.

The new Honor 8 Pro is backed up by a massive 4000mAh battery, which has been claimed to deliver up to 1.44 days of battery life with heavy use and 2 days with regular use. Connectivity options of the smartphone include 4G VoLTE connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C, Bluetooth v4.2, 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC. Sensor part on the board of the handset includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, an infrared sensor, and proximity sensor. Moreover, the smartphone also comes with pre-installed Galaxy on Fire 3 and Jaunt VR apps and reportedly the company has also partnered with Galaxy on Fire 3 and Jaunt VR apps.
