After making its customers wait for a long time Huawei has finally launched Huawei Honor Band Z1 - affordable smartwatch solution at just INR 5,499 through online retailer Flipkart. It is believed that the smartwatch can be used both with the iOS and Android devices and that it delivers a 3-day battery life with a standby time of 14 days without a glitch.
The retailers and smartphone lovers had expected Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi to come up with something of this type in its recently held launch event in the hometown, but Huawei surpassing the expectations of its customers showcased Honor Band Z1 in two color variants - Cream and Black and promises to get it shipped right away through Flipkart.
Though there are lots of fitness trackers available for users to buy from like from Fitbit so Huawei's smartwatch has to undergo a lot of competition to mark its foothold in the market. On the features front, it lacks a bit on the Android part, since in this case, it is limited to just calls and SMS notifications. Rest all features are helpful for fitness tracking. The Huawei Honor Band Z1 when combined with the MyFitnessPal app allows users to track everything from step and calorie counting down to sleep monitoring.
Another factor that adds cherry on the cake for this smart watch is that it is more of a fitness tracker and less of a smart watch and that it's completely dust and water proof, meaning that this smart watch can be worn anywhere and for all day long without worrying for its battery life.
