Huawei Honor India Expected to Launch Four Camera Smartphone on October 5

Huawei\'s Honor brand is set to launch a new smartphone in India on Thursday, 5th October. The company\'s global handle in a tweet indicated that the Honor 9 smartphone will be launched in India, which was unveiled in China last month. The new handset from Honor will go on sale online in China from Friday, and will available via Vmall, JD.com, Tmall.com, and other websites. However, the teaser images, it has been using on its India Twitter handle, announce it will be launching an altogether different handset s known as the Huawei Nova 2i, Maiming 6, and Mate 10 Lite.

Flipkart in an emailed statement declared it will be an exclusive online retail partner for a new Honor phone that\'s due to launch on 5th October, and without naming the phone, drops the hint that it will sport dual cameras on both the front and rear end. This fits with the Huawei Nova 2i, and not the Honor 9, which only bears dual rear cameras.

The Honor 9 was released in China in three variants- 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage storage priced at Yuan 2,299 (approximately Rs. 22,000), 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage priced at Yuan 2,699 (approximately Rs. 26,000), and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage priced at Yuan 2,999 (approximately Rs. 28,500). It is unclear at this point of time whether Honor will bring all three storage variants of Honor 9 to India, but predicts the pricing to be around the same.

Honor 9 gets a 20-megapixel sensor (for monochrome) along with a 12-megapixel sensor. Honor has included 2x optical zoom for the cameras, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and dual LED flash as well. For the selfie and video chat the smartphone comes with the 8-megapixel front camera on board. The rear camera supports 4K video recording while the front camera supports up to full-HD video recording.
