Huawei Launched Honor 8 Pro with 6GB RAM, Dual Rear Camera Setup in India

Huawei’s subsidiary Honor has introduced its all-new Honor 8 Pro smartphone today, in India. As we have already observed by its name, it is an upgraded model of the company’s previously launched Honor 8 smartphone. The new offering the Honor features a larger battery, higher RAM, and the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS as compared to its predecessor. The company will start rolling out the new handset sometime in July in Navy Blue, Platinum Gold, and Midnight Black colour variants.

In term of specifications, the Honor 8 Pro Android smartphone features a 5.7-inch QHD LTPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by the company’s own Kirin 960 octa-core processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can also be expanded via MicroSD card.

The optical part of the Dual-SIM smartphone packs a dual rear camera setup, which includes a pair of 12-megapixel sensors: one sensor captures in RGB, and the other captures details in monochrome. Additional features of the rear camera include a f/2.2 aperture, laser auto-focus, LED flash, and 4K video recording support. An 8-megapixel front shooter with f/2.0 aperture is also provided by the company for shooting selfies.

The GSM smartphone is backed up by a massive 4,000mAh battery and packs dual-SIM support, rear fingerprint sensor, NFC, USB Type-C, 4G LTE support, and Bluetooth 4.2 as connectivity options on board.

As of now, the device has only been launched in selected markets including UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. In China, the smartphone was available with a name tag of Honor V9. The company has still not revealed the price details of the smartphone, still it is currently getting sold in European markets with a price tag of EUR 549 (Rs 38,200 approx), so, we can also expect the price range to fall nearby it.
