Huawei Likely To Launch First 5G Smartphone in 2019

Huawei, China-based company is likely to launch the first 5G smartphone in the second quarter of 2019.The announcement of Huawei first 5G smartphone has been announced by the Chinese company at Huawei Global Analyst Summit 2018 in Shenzhen, in which the company has disclosed its plans for the coming year.

Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company officially announced that it will debut an end-to-end 5G solution sometime in the second quarter of 2018.

Xu said in 2018 edition of the Huawei Analyst Summit (HAS), the major technology companies are currently working upon to introduce a powerful 5G technology throughout the globe which will help to render faster speed as well as reduce networking cost. Recently, in analyst Summit which was conducted in Shenzhen Huawei’s rotating Chairman Eric Xu said in a statement, “We are fully committed to 5G investment and by the second half of this year, we’re going to launch an end-to-end 5G solution.”

Xu said in the event, “5G is just another product line at Huawei. It is a natural evolution of the technology -- from 2G to 3G to 4G and now 5G”. He further added that as such there are no vital differences in between 4G and 5G technology, as simple as that 5G technology will provide faster speed. “We don’t have other material differences in experiences for the consumer between the two technologies”, said Xu.

The executive stated that 4G technology is trending these days in telecom and smartphone industry and we are trying to update the technology from 4G to 5G in order to meet the growing demand of consumers for more bandwidth.

Xu said, “We’re focused on what we can do and provide better services to our customers”. He further said that Artificial Intelligence is one of the best solutions for the telecom industry which will help to enhance the speed and improve networks.

The trial test set-up of the 5G network successfully announced by Huawei and telecom operator Bharti Airtel in February. The trial set- up of 5G was organized at Airtel's Network Experience Centre in Manesar (Gurugram). At the time of testing the 5G network, it was observed that achieved as much as 3Gbps speed. The company stated that it is considered the highest frequency throughput for a mobile network in 3.5 GHz band with 100MHz bandwidth and end-to-end network latency of approximately 1 msec.

According to Emmanuel Coelho Alves, Director, Wireless Marketing, Huawei HQ,“We have been focusing on developing the 5G ecosystem and use cases and the show with Bharti Airtel impressively demonstrates the performance capability of 5G in 3.5 GHz band.”

Huawei, the Chinese company started working on 5G network previously in 2009 and the company is planning to invest $600 million in the 5G network technology by the end of this year
Jay Chen, CEO of Huawei India said, “The 5G era is approaching, and we are confident that 5G deployment in India will happen in line with the global timeline.”

Earlier this year in September, the 5G-oriented mobile bearer solution X-Haul had been announced by Huawei for manufacturers in India to construct end-to-end 5G networks
