Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X Launched And Mate 20 Pro in India in November

As expected, Huawei has unveiled Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and Mate 20 X latest flagship smartphones at the scheduled event in London on October 16.

The attractions of Mate 20 series flagship include triple lens set up on the rear panel, high screen-to-body ratio, HiSilicon Kirin 980 7nm SoC, 40W Huawei SuperCharge technology.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a premium smartphone and comes with under- display fingerprint scanner, while the Huawei Mate 20 X features a large 7.2-inch screen display along with the support of Huawei's M-Pen stylus.

The rumors are arising from last few weeks which has turned true now, as Huawei the Chinese tech giant has also launched the world’s first Nano memory card, which is 45 percent smaller than the microSD card, claims company.

Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X Price, and Availability

Huawei Mate 20 costs EUR 799 for base 4GB RAM/128GB ROM variant, while the high 6GB RAM/128GB variant has been priced at EUR 849.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with a price tag of EUR 1049 for single 6GB/ 128GB variant. Both Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, are available for purchase only in selected select European markets.

Currently, the Huawei has not disclosed the Indian price and availability of Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. Both of the smartphones have been launched in five color variants including Emerald Green, Midnight Blue, Pink Gold, Twilight, and Black.

Now moving to Huawei Mate 20 X costs EUR 899 which has been launched only in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It will be available for purchase from 26th October only in select European markets.

The buyers can choose among Midnight Blue and Phantom Silver color options of Mate 20 X.

Huawei Mate 20 Specifications

Let’s start with Huawei Mate 20 features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ RGBW display along with 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone offers DCI-P3 HDR, 88.07 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a maximum brightness of 820 nits. It runs on top of the line Android 9.0 Pie layered with EMUI 9.0.

From the hardware front, Mate 20 has been equipped with HiSilicon Kirin 980 7nm SoC coupled with dual AI processor. It packs a massive 4,000mAh battery bundled with new 40W Huawei SuperCharge technology.

For photography, the Huawei Mate 20 features a triple lens camera set up on the rear panel. The rear camera set up consists 16MP primary ultra wide angle sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, 12MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and 8MP telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.4. These lenses support LED flash and Super HDR.

For selfies and video calling, Huawei Mate 20 gets a 24MP selfie snapper with an aperture of f/2.0. The fingerprint sensor is positioned on the rear panel of Mate 20.

The Mate 20 comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X Specifications

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a 6.39-inch QHD+ curved OLED display along with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone offers 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution, DCI-P3 HDR, 86.9 percent screen-to-body ratio, and high color saturation. It runs on top of the line Android 9.0 Pie based on EMUI 9.0.

Under the hood, it retains same Kirin 980 SoC. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is the only smartphone in Mate 20 series that comes with under- display fingerprint scanner. It has been certified with IP68 which protects the smartphone from water and dust particles.

The Mate 20 Pro comes with a same Leica-branded camera set up in a square format which includes 40MP primary ultra wide lens offering an aperture of f/1.8, 20MP ultra wide angle sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 and last 8MP 3X telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera set up accompanied by an LED flash and Super HDR feature.

Up front, the Mate 20 Pro retains same 24MP RGB selfie snapper which supports 3D facial unlocking. It comes with 3D Live Emoji features which supports GIF and MP4 files as well.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is powered by a 4,200mAh battery bundled with same Huawei 40W SuperCharge Technology. Furthermore, the Mate 20 Pro has been equipped with a 15W wireless charger which is touted to be the “world’s first wireless reverse charging” technology.

It is the most highlighting feature of Mate 20 Pro that allows the users to charge the device wirelessly. The connectivity options on the Mate 20 Pro include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

Alongside Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, Huawei has also launched Mate 20 X phablet at an event in London. The Mate 20 and Mate 20 share almost specifications excepting some minor differences.

It features a 7.2-inch OLED display along with 18.7:9 aspect ratio, a massive 5,000mAh battery. Obviously, the phablet supports Huawei M Pen.

It must be noted these smartphones have been unveiled by Huawei only in select European markets, though the Huawei has not revealed when it would unveil the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X in other markets.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro set to Launch in India Next Month

Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the Chinese phone maker’s latest flagship smartphone, is ready to be launched in India next month. As per an emailed statement, Huawei teased the India launch for next on Amazon.in and the landin page is now live that shows a “Notify Me” button for the users who are interested to buy the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Exact launch date of the smartphone in India has not been announced yet by Huawei and the announcement is expected to be soon. There is no confirmation on whether the Mate 20, Mate 20 x, and Mate 20 RS will also make it to the Indian market.
