Huawei Sold 10 Million Units of P20 Series Flagship Smartphones

Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has achieved the great milestone by selling 10 million units of its latest flagship P20 Pro and P20 since its global launch which was held in the month of March this year. The company is planning to launch the new color variants of Huawei P20 series flagship, mostly probably Morpho Aurora and Pearl White, at IFA 2018 which is scheduled in between 31st Aug 2018 to 5 Sep 2018 in Berlin, Germany.

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are the first flagship variants in the world which have received a triple-digit score from DxOMark for the standard camera as well as lens image quality measurements.

Kevin Ho, President of Handset Business, Huawei Consumer Business Group stated at the achievement ceremony, "By going above the 10-million mark, we have again set ourselves a high bar to clear.”

The Huawei P20 has been listed in the category of best smartphones at the European Image and Sound Association (EISA) for the period of 2018-2019, touting that the smartphone features "the most advanced, innovative and technically superior smartphone ever”.

The cameras of P20 series has been developed with Leica coupled AI Image Stabilization feature as well as large sensors which lets the users click better and clear photos.

Huawei P20 Pro Specifications

The Huawei P20 Pro is a premium variant that bears a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED Full View display with trending 18:9 aspect ratio and has a screen resolution of 2,240 x 1,080 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, matted with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage and a dedicated neural processing unit. It is worth noting that the users can’t expand the storage capacity further. In terms of software, the Huawei flagship smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo - out-of-the-box, based on EMUI 8.1.

In terms of photography, the P20 Pro comes with a triple lens camera which comprises the combination of 40MP+20MP+8MP sensors on the rear panel. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone sport a 24.8 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The Huawei P20 Pro is said to feature a 360-degree Face Unlock which unlocks the smartphone in just 0.6 seconds only, the company claims. The P20 Pro comes with connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Under the hood, it is fueled by a 4000mAh battery and the weight of the smartphone is 181 grams.

Huawei P20 Lite Specifications

The Huawei P20 Lite is an affordable smartphone runs on latest Android 8.0 Oreo - out- of- the- box, based on EMUI 8.0. The smartphone is said to feature a 5.84-inch full-HD+ Full View display with trending 19:9 aspect ratio and having a resolution of 1080x2280 pixels. It is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor, matted with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 256G by using the memory card.

In terms of camera department, the P20 Lite comes with dual rear camera consisting a 16-megapixel primary camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. At the front, the smartphone gets a 24-megapixel front-facing camera, offering an aperture of f/2.0, AR-based stickers and 3D facial recognition.

The connectivity options on Huawei P20 Lite are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. The weight of the smartphone is 145 grams and bundled with 3000mAh battery.
