Huawei Y9 (2019) has now been launched in India and is now available in the Indian Market. It is a successor to the Huawei Y9 (2018) and comes with some new and special features like the four artificial intelligence (AI) powered camera sensors. The set is bound to offer real-time image optimisation. The Artificial Intelligence integration enables the Set to view more than 500 different scene types by creating 22 category labels which offers a real-time image optimisation. The company offer a GPU Turbo technology which claims to deliver two times the GPU efficiency and a 1.3 times increase in overall GPU performance.
The smartphone will come in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue colour options. The promotional strategy would be the offer of bundling Boat Rockerz Sports Bluetooth headphones worth Rs. 2,990 with the smartphone. But the offer would be for a limited period of time.
If we remember, the Huawei Y9 (2019) have been announced in China in October last year as a successor to the Huawei Y9 (2018).
It is a dual-SIM (Nano) set which runs EMUI 8.2 and is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels). It sports a Full View Display panel with a 3D curved design and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone has an octa-core Kirin 710 SoC which comes with Artificial Intelligence Power 7.0 and GPU Turbo technologies, paired with 4GB RAM option under the hood. It has an inbuilt storage of 64GB which could be expanded through microSD card (up to 256GB) via a dedicated microSD card slot.
For image capturing and video recording, the Huawei Y9 (2019) is facilitated with a dual rear camera setup that comprises of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor having an f/2.4 aperture.
There is a dual selfie camera setup in Huawei Y9 (2019) at the front that sports a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and 2-micron pixels. Along with this, there is a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
The attractive fact about the set is that it's both front and rear camera setups are claimed to enhance shots using AI-based features. The camera sensors are touted such as to be capable of recognising scenes to offer a real-time optimisation.
Talking about Connectivity, the Huawei Y9 (2019) has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. Sensors on board consist of an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. The smartphone also facilitated with a fingerprint sensor at the back that supports Fingerprint 4.0 identification technology. The set is powered by a 4,000mAh battery and claims to provide up to 65 hours of music playback and 9 hours of video playback. Dimensions are 162.4x77.1x8.05mm.
