The latest iPhone renders showing key design specs have surfaced on the internet. The leaked images corroborate with the previous rumours of iPhone 8 having a nearly bezel-less display and a vertical camera setup on the back. In addition, we get a clearer and better look at the design of the coming Apple flagship phone. As shown in the image, iPhone 8 is likely to have a notch at the top of front to hold the camera and other sensors.
The latest leaks also contain the price information for the latest iPhone and confirm that it will be the most expensive one in the iPhone series so far.
The new renders leaked by Gordon Kelly from Forbes in collaboration with case maker Nodus explain many new things about the design of the new iPhone. The leaks possibly focus towards the final iPhone 8 design as they reveal everything about the design of the phone except the location of the fingerprint sensor. It confirms that iPhone 8 will feature a 5.8-inch OLED display with very thin bezels up to 4mm on all sides. The top will have a dedicated notch to hold all the sensors.
It is also being assumed that the top bar will only be used to show battery status and connectivity options, while notifications and other toggle options will be available in the bottom ‘Function Area’ instead. This seems to be a feature of the new iOS 11 which will also be released with iPhone 8. As rumoured in the previous leaks, the power button is longer than before, but it is still not certain whether it will be integrated with the fingerprint scanner or not.
The Lightning port is given between two speakers at the bottom edge; there is no 3.5mm audio jack present in iPhone 8. There is still no confirmation from Apple’s side about the design or specs of the new iPhone. We’ll have to wait till September to find out the authenticity of these renders. Kelly also suggests that the iPhone 8 may be priced at around $1,000 to $1,200 (roughly Rs. 71,000 in India). It is likely to be released in two memory variants - 128GB and 256GB.
