Domestic handset maker Karbonn Mobiles has introduced a new budget-friendly smartphone for its Indian buyers dubbed under the moniker Karbonn A91 Storm. The new handset has been priced as low as INR 2,899 and has been listed on the company's official website while the users can purchase the handset via Amazon's Indian outlet Amazon India.
This new Android smartphone with its price tag is surely going to compete against Intex latest smartphone Intex Aqua 3G Pro Q which recently became available for purchase at a price tag of INR 2,999.
In terms of specifications, the Dual-SIM handset supports regular SIM cards and operates on Android Lollipop v5.1 out-of-the-box. On the display front, the device sports a 4-inch WVGA display that gives a resolution of 480x800 pixels and bolsters a pixel density of 240ppi. Under the hood, the GSM-handset is powered by a 1.2 quad-core processor clubbed with 512MB of RAM.
The Karbonn A91 Storm comes with a 2-megapixel camera on the rear side with LED flash coupled with a front-facing fixed focus camera of 0.3-megapixels. The device additionally offers 4GB of inbuilt storage which can be easily expanded up to 32GB by using a microSD card. On the terms of physical measurements, the device measures 127x64.2x10.5mm.
The device comes equipped with a 2200mAh Li-ion battery which as per company claims can deliver up to 250 hours of standby time and up to 8 hours of talk time while takes only 3 hours to reach 100-percent of battery power. The company is offering the device in three color variants namely Blue, White and Black.
In terms of connectivity, the device offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, FM radio, and Micro-USB 2.0 options and carries a weight of 117grams which considerably is quite light.
