Karbonn came up with a new plant set up in Haryana which is the third one in row, early two operating in Noida and Uttar Pradesh. It has done a very quick action by taking only six month to start the plant with 22 assembly lines in the setup. It has the capacity to produce around 30 million handsets a year.
"With an aim to bring the benefits of smartphone telephony to the masses, the manufacturing facility will help us in providing customised products for Indian market at a faster time," Pradeep Jain, Managing Director, Karbonn Mobiles, said to the media in Bawal.
The plant will engage around 4000 employees to work becoming a helping hand to the near by locality youths. Karbonn has decided to invest Rs. 2000 crore in upcoming year to be in the list of largest mobile manufacturer in India. Already ISO 9001 and 14001 certified company is making 1.5 million mobiles in a month which will be tuned to 2.5 million in the end of 2016.
Another plant will join the commune soon, in Tirupati Andhra pradesh which will be having surface mount technology(SMT) production & assembly lines, also having charger battery units for supplies. It will also put his hands into the accessories & battery manufacturing by the third quarter of this year.
