Karbonn Launched Two New Smartphones With VR Headset Under INR 10,000

Homegrown company Karbonn on Monday released two new Android smartphones in the Indian market dubbed as the Quattro L52 and Titanium Mach Six both packaged with a Karbonn VR headset. Both the Karbonn Quattro L52 and Karbonn Titanium Mach Six cell phones are priced at Rs. 8,790 and Rs. 7,490 individually, and accompany the organization's new Karbonn VR headset.

Karbonn says that its virtual reality (VR) headset is made of sturdy ABS plastic fibre that can offer an "enhanced life-like viewing experience." The residential handset creator includes that the VR headset comes fitted with bi-arched lenses which enlarge a video to give a theater-like ordeal. Karbonn says that both Karbonn Quattro L52 and Titanium Mach Six come pre-introduced with a VR application which will permit clients to make their own particular VR recordings.

In terms of specification of the Karbonn Quattro L52 , the GSM mobile phone sports a 5-inch HD 2.5D bended glass display giving a resolution of 720x1280 pixels powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor. It operates on Android v5.1 and equips 2GB of RAM offering 16GB of inbuilt storage capacity, that can be expanded up to 32GB using an external microSD card. It further equips 8-megapixel back camera with Sony sensor, and a 5-megapixel front camera.

The Dual-SIM cell phone bolsters 4G and packs 2250mAh battery that as per company delivers up to 6 hours of talk time and a standby time of up to 300 hours. Dimensionally, the handset measures145x72x9.9mm and also carries a weight of 143 grams. The company offers Quattro L52 in two color variants namely Champagne and White.

Commenting on the launch, Shashin Devsare, Executive Director, Karbonn Mobiles said, "Virtual reality is the next big growth area in consumer technology. The Karbonn Titanium Mach Six, on the contrary, is also a Dual-SIM smartphone that features a 6-inch HD display portraying a resolution of 720x1280 pixels, and houses a quad-core processor timed at 1.3GHz. The cell phone packs 2GB of RAM and offers 16GB of inbuilt stockpiling that is expandable up to 32 GB through microSD card. The handset is powered by an expansive 3300mAh battery that operates on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. In terms of camera specs, the handset sports an 8-megapixel back camera and a 3.2-megapixel front camera and though lacks 4G LTE support but does provide 3G availability support.
