After Micromax, Lava, Xolo and Intex, yet another homegrown mobile maker: Karbonn has commenced a brand-new Android KitKat-based handset in a span of few days, which has been named as Platinum P9. Apparently, firm has brought its new scion to heat up the burgeoning segment of smartphones as well as to gain a better revenue.
Carrying an affordable price tag of Rs. 8,899, the newly-launched device has managed to incorporate an 8-megapixel Auto focus rear camera with LED flash along with an 8-megapixel front shooter, which is an alluring part of Platinum P9.
Taking a glance at display, it bears a 6-inch qHD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection that produces a pixel resolution of 540x960p and pixel density of 184ppi. Running on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat operating system, handheld comprises 1GB RAM alongside 16GB of internal memory, which can be extended upto 32GB via microSD card.
On connectivity front, Karbonn Platinum P9 offers 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth and GPRS/ EDGE options. Paired with Dual SIM card slots, mobile phone assimilates accelerometer, proximity and light sensors.
