Lava, an indian Mobile Manufacturer has recently launched Lava A93 smartphone in the domestic market at a price tag of Rs 7,999. The newly launched Smartphone is available in two color variants- Gold and Grey. It is listed on the company official website with full specifications.
On the specification front, the Dual - Sim smartphone sports 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels offering pixel density of 267 ppi. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It is backed by a 3000 mAh Li-ion removable battery along with power save mode feature. It measures and weighs 145 x 72.2 x 8.85mm and 152 gm respectively. On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, FM Radio, USB 2.0, 3.5mm jack, GPS/AGPS, G- Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor. Additional features of the smartphone including - Video PIP, Smart Gestures, Smart Screenshot and Smart Music.
In terms of optics, Lava A93 sports 8-megapixel rear camera along with the additional features like HDR, Grid and Photo Timer and 2- megapixel front facing camera for selfie lovers and video callers. Both the rear and front facing camera is coupled with LED flash.
Recently launched Lava A93 will face competition from some of the popular smartphones such as Xiaomi Redmi 4, Xiaomi Redmi 4A and Moto C Plus which are available in low- budget with better specifications as compared with Lava A93. One of the main disadvantages of the smartphone is that the smartphone operates on Android Marshmallow whereas other smartphones are coming up with Android Nougat in similar price. Also the Lava A93 does not support 4G VoLTE connectivity.
