Lava, a native smartphone manufacturer has expanded its Z- series by announcing the Lava Z61 in the Indian market. Till now, the company launched five smartphones in Z- series namely the Lava Z60, Lava Z70, Lava Z80, Lava Z90 and the Lava Z91.
Some of the impressive features of the budget segment Lava Z61 include Full View HD+ display, 18:9 aspect ratio, 3,000mAh battery, Android Oreo (Go edition) and 1GB RAM. It is speculated that the Lava Z61 2GB RAM variant will be launched by the company in the coming month i.e., August 2018.
The Lava Z61 bundled with a 'Sharp Click' technology that allows users to click "even the smallest details”, says the company.
The Lava Z61 comes with a price tag of Rs 5,750 which will be available for purchase at more than 80,000 offline channels throughout India. The buyers can choose colors from Black and Gold as per their convenience. The company is offering a one-time screen replacement facility for free on the Lava Z61 which will be valid till 30th September.
The Lava Z61 is bundled with Rs 2,200 as cashback offer from Reliance Jio under which the interested buyers will receive the instant cashback on the purchase of the smartphone.
The cashback will be credited to the subscribers MyJio app in the form of 44 vouchers each amounting Rs 50 that can be availed by the users to make the prepaid recharge of Rs 198 and Rs 299. Both, existing and new Jio customers can avail the RelianceJio cashback offer.
The Lava Z61 features a 5.45-inch HD+ display along with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on the top which protects the Lava Z61 from scratching and damaging.
Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. It runs on Android Oreo (Go edition) with the support of Android 8.1 Oreo.
In terms of camera department, the Lava Z61 features a 'Sharp Click' technology. It packs a single 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera along with an LED flash. The camera app is preloaded with Bokeh Mode.
The Lava Z61 has a battery back up of 3000mAh which the company claims it can run up to 1.5 days in a single charge only.
The company says that battery of the smartphone is "supported with AI technology" that tracks the battery consumption of the smartphone and automatically closed the apps those are running in the background and the users are not required to touch and close it.
