LeEco 1s (Eco) With Support for 10 Indian Languages Launched

LeEco (formerly known as LeTv) has now launched a completely new variant of its Le 1s smartphone in India dubbed as LeEco Le 1s (Eco) priced at INR 10,899 which by name is indeed a little confusing. The company is offering a 1-year free subscription to LeEco Membership with an actual cost of INR 4,900.

Additionally, the Android smartphone also being referred as "Made for India" and "Made in India" smartphone comes with an additional support for 10 Indian languages and as a bonus or rather in an attempt to improve the overall sales ratio the company is planning to introduce the smartphone for just INR 9,999 via e-commerce website Flipkart as a part of its first flash sale scheduled to be held at 2PM on coming May 12 in which 100,000 units will be made available for purchase.  flipkart

Looking at the software specs of the GSM-handset, it sports a 5.5-inch full HD In-cel IPS LCD Display giving a 1080x1920 pixel resolution with 500-nit brightness and 403ppi pixel density. The smartphone further operates on company's official EUI interface which is based on Android Lollipop v5.0. Under the hood, the device sports a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 Soc which is clocked at 1.85GHz.

As per reports, LeEco Le 1s (Eco) would support up to 10 Indian languages that include names of Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu. Additionally, the company also claims and states that it has nearly 550 service centers in India alongside the 24x7 live chat support in 8 different languages in an attempt to increase its user base as it expands across the country.

The device comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage along with a mirror-surfaced fingerprint sensor having nearly 99.3-percent precision rate something which has never been recorded on any other smartphone till date. Additionally, the presence of 3000mAh battery with supposedly Super Charge feature allows the device to give approximately 3.5 hours of talk time in just 5-minutes of charging using the USB Type-C port.

Lastly, in terms of camera and connectivity options, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and apart from supporting 4G LTE brands (Indian brands support included) the device also offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac + Direct functionality, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C, and Infrared connectivity support. The LeEco Le 1s (Eco) carries a weight of 169 grams and dimensionally measures 151.1x74.2x7.6mm.
