The South- Korean company LG revealed its latest flagship smartphone, LG G6 in India. Earlier the smartphone was revealed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 held in Barcelona. The latest smartphone will be available on Amazon from 25th April and it is priced at Rs. 51,990. LG G6 competes with a Samsung Galaxy S8, that was launched last week in India.
The internal specifications or features of the new LG G6 is not very impressive, specifically, we are expecting that the latest flagship will be equipped with Snapdragon 835. It sports with a 5.7-inch Quad HD along with “Full Vision” display (2880x1440), it is one of the highlighting features of the smartphone. For selfie lovers and photography, LG G6 has been blessed with a 5MP front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens with a f/2.2 aperture on the front. On the rear front, it has been blessed with two 13MP sensors, one is meant for wide-angle shots and other is for regular shots.
The new LG G6 supports IP68 certification which protects the smartphone from dust and water. It is clear that the company is trying to catch up the competition. It was touted that the “ first smartphone which supports Dolby Vision” at the time of launch at MWC 2017. It has been featured with a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analogue converter) for enhanced audio output.
Additionally, the new smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC coupled with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage capacity which can be further extended upto 256GB via microSD card. LG G6 runs on Android Nougat with UX 6.0 running on top. The fingerprint sensors are placed on the back side of the phone like its predecessor.
On the connectivity board, it includes 4G VoLTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual sim support and Bluetooth 4.1. New LG G6 is available in three color variants, Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Mystic White. It packs up with a 3,300mAh battery and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology which provides fast charging.

LG is providing cash back offer of Rs 10,000 when using HDFC and SBI cards at the time of purchasing LG G6, scheme applicable until April 27, 2017. Buyers can also grab a discount of 50 percent (till May 31) on the purchasing of LG Tone Active+ HBS A100 Bluetooth headset. LG also has special rewards worth Rs 14,100 on six smartphone games upon purchasing the G6. These pre-loaded games include Cookie Jam, Temple Run 2, Simcity Buildit, Spiderman Unlimited, Genies & Gems and Crossy Road.
