LG to Bring WP8.1 Based Smartphone D635, Caught on AdDuplex

Microsoft had announced earlier that LG would be partnered with them as original equipment manufacturer of Windows Phone 8.1 based devices. Now it seems like the announcement of this is going to be true with LG’s first Windows Phone 8.1 based smartphone. Though, it’s not clear that will it bring the device or not but the cross promotional network of Windows 8, AdDuplex has provided the details of LG D635 (codenamed).

As per the database of AdDuplex, it gets 5-inch display with HD resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The news about the WP8.1 based LG D635 was posted by founder of AdDuplex, Alan Mendelevich on Twitter which reads, "AdDuplex Stats teaser: LG D635, WP 8.1, 720p, 5'' spotted." However the device may come in market with different appearance or may come with the same appearance as spotted.

LG itself has not spoken a single word on it. So, we can consider it as defacto or not to take it literally. It is also said that Indian Mobile Major Karbonn and Xolo will also bring their smartphones with WP8.1 support including Foxconn, HTC, Huawei, Lenovo, Nokia, Samsung, and ZTE. If you are thinking that the company is bringing its Windows phone based smartphone first time, then you are amiss with information. Company had previously come up with Windows Phone 7 based device, dubbed Optimus 7.

When LG is working on the product, few companies have already been brought their WP8.1 enabled handsets in market. In this league, the homegrown company XOLO had brought Win Q900s few weeks back to lure customers. Micromax had also released Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121 with WP8.1 platform support.
