LG unveiled Ray with Metal design and Octa core SoC

LG after months of not wandering in reports, has just unveiled a metal designed handset called Ray in its portfolio to add-on. The company has launched it on Wednesday which will be reaching the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) regions this week followed by Latin America. It is not yet launched locally, but is expected to get its place in the near future with an official announcement in other regions too. There is no pricing detail being made by the technocrat yet.

The metal design set has best in-class features that are allowed to sport 5.5-inch HD display with 720*1280 pixels resolution carrying the pixel density of 267ppi. It is powered up by a 1.4GHz octa-core unspecified processor under the hood, clubbed with 1GB RAM. It houses 16GB of in-built storage with further expandability via microSD card. Measuring 152.5x76.4x9.3mm, it weighs 158 grams and packs 3000mAh battery.

It is integrated with 13MP rear shooter and 8MP front shooter for selfie lovers. The dual-SIM smartphone also has other single SIM variant. The connectivity options to explore includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 support. At the design end, it carries an iconic rear control button setup below the rear camera. It is not a 4G device but still has various specifications that makes it an outstanding handset. There is a speaker grille that is placed at the bottom of the rear panel.

"No matter the country or the device, every LG customers will receive a unique user experience with a balance of design, performance and value," he added.

With the expected arrival of Gold and Titan variants in January next year, the device consists of three basic options as Silver, Gold, and Titan Black color variants.
