LG X Screen: First Phone With SOS Mode Launched

LG India has finally launched its new Android smartphone in the Indian market dubbed as LG X Screen for Rs 12,990. The company claims that the smartphone comes with revolutionized mobile technology such as Dual Display which makes it handy in terms of usability. Also, as per reports, the smartphone will go on sale via Snapdeal from Wednesday onwards.

The motto of the company to include a secondary display came after several interruptions that user experienced in the day-to-day usage. It allows a user to see the text message, phone calls & notifications without closing the current application. Additionally, it also allows management of music stored on the device as well as checking of time, battery percentage that too without turning the phone ON.

Also, this GSM smartphone is called the “First phone with SOS mode." The secondary display will show the SOS button, and the user can activate the panic button by pressing the power button five times in a row.

As stated above, this smartphone features two separate displays: one featuring a 1.76-inch screen while the other one is a 4.93 Inch Screen of 720x1280 pixels. The handset gets powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM and operates on latest Android OS v6.0 Marshmallow. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Another interesting part that keeps the user engaged is different launch offers on the LG X screen that majorly includes Rs 650 cashback for SBI users, a Free Subscription to Hungama Play and Hungama Play Apps, as well as a Vodafone 4G data offer to avail on the go.

The device also offers 16GB in-built storage capacity and is backed by a decent 2300mAh battery. Dimensionally, it measures 142.6x71.8x7.1mm and will be available in two color variants namely Black and White. On the connectivity front, LG X Screen supports 4G LTE alongside other standard options.
