Meizu, the Chinese tech giant has launched a trio of smartphones in India namely - Meizu M6T (rebranded name of the Meizu 6T), Meizu C9 and Meizu M16th (rebranded name of the Meizu 16). To recall, the Meizu M6T and Meizu M16th were initially launched in the China market but the Meizu C9 has unveiled for the first time in the Indian market at an event in New Delhi on December 5. The M16th is the premium flagship device being offered by Meizu that comes with top of the line specifications include under- display fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port and 20MP selfie snapper.
In India, Meizu M6T has been priced at Rs. 7,999 for single 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model. It has been launched in Black and Rose Gold color options.
In India, the Meizu C9 comes with a price tag of Rs. 5,999 for single 2GB RAM and 16GB storage model. It is available in two color options: Black and Gold. It must be noted that the Meizu C9 will initially available for purchase at Rs. 4,999 for a limited period of time on Amazon.in.
Lastly, the premium Meizu M16th comes with an introductory price of Rs. 39,999 for single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model in the Indian market.
All of the three Meizu devices including Meizu M6T, Meizu C9, and Meizu 16th phones will be available for purchase exclusively at Amazon.in from December 5 (today), though the sale starts at 4 pm IST.
As a part of launch offers, all three Meizu devices come with a cashback of Rs. 2,200 from Reliance Jio and complementary 100GB internet data, while the Meizu M16th and Meizu C9 buyers will get 50GB internet pack
The Meizu M6T comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ in-cell display panel which offers 18:9 aspect ratio and the screen resolution of 720x1440 pixels. It runs on Android Oreo out-of-the-box layered with Flyme OS. Inside Meizu M6T, there is an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
For photography, the Meizu M6T has dual sensors on the rear panel consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor with an aperture lens of f/2.2 and f/2.0 respectively. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper with same aperture lens of f/2.0. It is armed with a 3,300mAh battery and weight is 145 grams. It supports dual- sim (Nano).
Now moving to the Meizu C9 features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. From the software front, Meizu C9 runs on a stock version of Android Oreo out-of-the-box. Under the hood, there is a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum 9832E SoC. For storing content, the company has offered 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be extended further up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
The Meizu C9 features a single 13MP rear sensor along with 5-element lens and an aperture of f/2.2. The rear camera set up is accompanied by an LED flash. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper with an aperture lens of f/2.2 and Face Unlock capabilities.
The connectivity options on the Meizu C9 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, GLONASS, dual- sim. The battery back of the device is 3,000mAh.
Lastly, the Meizu M16th has a 6-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display along with18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone offers the screen resolution of 1080x2160 pixels and 89.57 percent screen-to-body ratio. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box layered with Flyme OS. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with an Adreno 630 GPU. It has been equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
For photography purpose, the Meizu M16th has dual sensors on the rear panel which includes a 12MP primary sensor and a 20MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, there is a 20MP front- facing camera which is touting to be the “smallest 20-megapixel camera in the world".
The premium Meizu M16th supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Meizu M16th comes with under- display fingerprint scanner which the company claims unlock the device just in 0.25 seconds. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,010 mAh battery bundled with mCharge for fast charging.
