According to the sources, it was believed that since last few months, Micromax was working to introduce a new CyanogenMod-based smartphone. But, if latest reports are to be believed, then it has been confirmed that the new smartphone has been given a name i.e. Micromax Canvas 5. Along with this leak, few of its specifications has also been unrevealed according to the rumors.
Getting into the specifications section of this rumored smartphone, then Micromax Canvas 5 is rumored to be having a 5-inch full HD display. In terms of processor, the device is expected to be having a new MediaTek MT67xx Octa-core chipset associated with 2GB of RAM. This yet-to-be-announced smartphone is said to be supported with 16GB internal storage which can be extended further via micro-SD card, but the exact external storage count is not confirmed till yet. The expectations of existence of 18MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera is also being made by the rumored sources.
Talking about the OS, Cynogen was in news for making a deal with Micromax to manufacture a CynogenMod-based handheld gadget which is expect to touch the market by the end of this year. This phone is expected to be placed under the price tag of Rs 22,000 mark. The launching details of this rumored phone is not yet disclosed but if this news in concern to that deal is true, then ti will bring a change for the users of Micromax as well as the users of Android.
Its not only Micromax, Cynogen is trying to collaborate with many other big companies for partnership.
