Micromax Yu Yunique 2 Unveiled at Rs 5,999 in India

Micromax sub-branch Yu Televentures on Tuesday introduced its all new Yu Yunique 2 smartphone in India. The new offering by Yu Televentures is just a revamped version of its Yunique smartphone and comes with Truecaller integration, which provides inbuilt caller ID and spam protections features. Additional highlighting features of the new smartphone include Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 4G VoLTE support, Android 7.0 Nougat, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a budget price tag.

Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer, Micromax and Yu, while speaking at the launch of the new Yu Yunique 2, and its Truecaller integration said, “We are super excited to partner with Flipkart and integrate a true dialer experience through Truecaller. These partnerships will not only help us reach out to the young hyper social consumers but also deliver greater value, a core thought for YU mobiles that resonate across our range of smartphones available in the market.”

The new Micromax Yu Yunique 2 GSM handset will go on sale at 12 pm IST on Thursday, July 27 in Champagne and Coal Black colour variants. The device will be exclusively available via Flipkart with a price tag of Rs 5,999.

In term of specifications, the Android smartphone packs a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device runs latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

The optical part of the Dual-SIM smartphone includes a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfie lovers. The device is backed up by a 2500mAh battery and includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB port as connectivity options on board. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.
