Moto India Confirms to Roll Out Android 7 Update for Moto X Play Soon

After rolling out Android 7.0 update for its Moto X-Force back in May 2017, the Moto India has finally confirmed to deliver the new Android update for its Moto X Play users across the country. Moreover, the company has also introduced Moto C and Moto C Plus smartphones with Android 7.0 Nougat previously in May 2017.

Moto India, in a tweet posted on Monday, said, “Nougat will come to the Moto X Play soon.” The company has not revealed the exact date of releasing the update and it is also unclear that whether the company will roll out Android 7.0 Nougat or it will directly update the smartphone to a higher version of Android 7.1.1.

Moto X Play Android Nougat Update

The Moto X Play Android smartphone made its debut back in 2015 with a price tag of Rs 18,499 and is blessed with a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and 403 ppi of pixel density. It is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

In term of optics, the Dual-SIM smartphone packs a 21-megapixel rear camera, which comes with f/2.0 aperture and CCT (Colour Correlated Temperature) flash with dual-LED modules. The rear camera of the handset also features Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and 1080p HD video recording at 30fps.

The GSM handset is backed up by a massive 3630mAh battery and weighs just 169 grams. Furthermore, the company has already provided Android 7.0 Nougat updates for its Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones, while the Moto Z Play received the update back in February 2017.
