Nokia and HMD Global are all set to launch the Nokia 2 smartphone in India. The company is hosting an event at Gurugram to unveil it's next Android smartphone in the country. Last week company had sent invites for a launch event on Tuesday, where it would "unveil the next milestone for Nokia phones." Alongside Nokia 2, the Nokia 7 launch is also anticipated for the Indian market. The HMD Global official launch event will commence at 12 pm IST. The company will be live streaming the event on its Facebook page.
To recall, some of the key features revealed include a 5-inch size, HD resolution (720x1280 pixels) display, massive 4000mAh battery, 4G support, and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. The smartphone is also spied to have 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC and 1GB RAM. The phone has the SoC, successor to Snapdragon 210, which is made for entry-level offerings along with 4-cores of ARM Cortex-A7 CPU at a 1.3Ghz maximum clock speed. it is also aired that the Nokia 2 will be having Android 7.1 Nougat, 8GB inbuilt storage, and Adreno 304 GPU.

Concerning the camera setup, it is mentioned that the phone will get a 5-megapixel front camera and 8-megapixel rear camera sensors. The appearance of Nokia 2 is not leaked yet but some images show it will be available in black and white color options. The Nokia 2 is expected to come in the price range of Rs. 6,500 and will take on similar mobiles from Samsung, Xiaomi, and Lenovo.
