Nokia 5 Pre-Bookings Start Today in India

HMD Global, last month introduced the Nokia branded Android smartphones in India including Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6. At the time of launching, the company announced that the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will be exclusively available offline, whereas the top of the line Nokia 6 will be an online exclusive smartphone, whose registrations will start from July 14 via Amazon India. However, Nokia 3 has already been rolled out in the market, the company has now announced to start the pre-bookings for its Nokia 5 smartphone from Friday, July 7, but the availability date of the handset is still a mystery.

The new Nokia 5 Android smartphone launched in India with a price tag of Rs 12,899, and now the company has announced to start the pre-bookings of the device via selected mobile retail outlets across the country including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Calicut.

Additionally, the desired people will also get 4GB extra data per month with a 1GB recharge of Rs. 142 (prices may vary from circle to circle) on Vodafone carrier, along with the purchase of Nokia 5. The offer will only be valid for 3 months or we can say for 3 recharges, which means the user will get 5GB data at the price of 1GB. Moreover, the postpaid customers of Vodafone will also get the advantage of the same offer for 3 consecutive billing cycles only if their postpaid plans include 1GB or higher data plan. Things are not getting over here, as the company is also providing Rs. 2,500 off (Rs. 1,800 on hotels & Rs. 700 off on domestic flights) on Makemytrip.com.

As a recall, the Nokia 5 Dual-SIM smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixel and runs the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

In term of optics, the GSM handset packs a 13-megapixel sensor along with flash at the rear side and an 8-megapixel front sensor for selfie enthusiasts.
