HMD Global is now in rumours to hosting an event in china on January 19 to formally unveil the Nokia 9. The smartphone is expected to be Finnish startups foray into the bezel-less smartphone segment and a flagship model at the chinese event.
Chinese site MyDrivers, reported that the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 both will have customised experience for the Chinese market. It should be noted that HMD Global is likely to offer a custom ROM on both the smartphones to match the preferences of Chinese customers.

Nokia has also leaked in images which shows that the phone to come with three colour variants-black, blue and silver and two storage variants-64GB
And 128 GB with 6GB RAM where 64GB variant sale in china for CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs. 36,000), whereas its another version with 128GB storage variant sale in china for CNY 4,199 (roughly Rs. 40,900).
If we believe some ongoing rumours, the Nokia 9 will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and would have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. On the camera front, the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) are expected to feature a dual camera setup and IP67 certification, which will protect the phones from both water and dust resistance and miss out on the 3.5mm audio jack.
The case also suggested that handset would have a back-facing fingerprint scanner and a dual-camera setup. Further, the smartphone is expected to have USB Type-C port and is likely to run Android Oreo out-of-the-box.
