Nokia Plans to Introduce 5 Android Smartphones in 2017

Nokia, the well-known techno manufacturing firm is facing bad days in the smartphone market for a long time, and after a long period, the company is now making plans to make a comeback in the market under HMD Global in the first quarter of next year. It was rumored that the unlucky firm is going to launch 3 Android smartphones at MWC 2017 in February, which will arrive with an aim to target entry-level, mid-range, and high-end categories. But, some recent reports took us to a different direction, according to which, Nokia will come up with 4 new smartphones in the second and third quarter of 2017, which will also include a variant of Nokia D1C.

It seems like the parent firm HMD Global has planned to unveil a total number of 5 new smartphones under Nokia branding in the upcoming 2017. A source, Digitimes cites supply chain claims the arrival of four new Nokia models with a display size ranging from 5 inches to 5.7 inches of QHD and full-HD resolutions. The source further reports that LG Display, Century Technology (CTC), and Innolux will provide the panels for the upcoming models along with the production partner FIH mobile.

HMD Global is expected to unveil its first set of Nokia-branded smartphones at MWC 2017, which will also include the most awaited Nokia D1C. The Nokia D1C is tipped to be a mid-range smartphone and will come in two variants depending on the display size and memory. Apart from this, there is one more mid-range model expected to make its appearance named as Nokia E1.

Furthermore, the company is also tipped to introduce the flagship Nokia-branded smartphone at MWC 2017, which is expected to feature a Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB RAM, and 23-megapixel rear camera with Zeiss lens. The MWC 2017 is still 2 months away from now, which also points to expect a few more leaks in upcoming days, as neither HMD Global nor Nokia has said even a word on the upcoming models. So, we can do nothing, but just keep waiting and see what comes out at MWC 2017.
