Nokia to Remove Notification LED Light From Nokia 6

HMD Global launched Nokia 6 as the first Nokia-branded Android smartphone to make a comeback in the smartphone market. Now, the legendary Finnish smartphone manufacturer has made a new announcement for its global Nokia 6 variants that the smartphone will miss out the notification LED light from now onwards.

The company has confirmed the removal of Notification LED light after some user queries. A representative of Nokia Mobile support team told Nokiamob, “About the removal of LED from the global version, please be aware that in regards to global markets, due to specific research, a decision has been made about the removal of the LED.”

The statement further added that the Nokia 6 variants worldwide with model number TA-1033, TA-1039, TA-1021, and TA-1025 now do not support Notification LED light. However, it is still unclear whether the feature was disabled or has been removed by the company.

Moreover, the company earlier this month postponed the launch of its Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 launch in the UK. The smartphones were previously believed to be launched in this month, but now are being touted to face an August launching. Apart from this, HMD Global, keeping its promise of providing regular security updates, has rolled out July Android security OTA update to Nokia 6 users in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

As a recall, the Nokia 6 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 14,999. The registrations of Nokia 6 first sale is going to start on July 14, but the company has still not revealed the availability details of the new smartphone. In term of specifications, the Android smartphone is blessed with a 5.5-inch full-HD display along with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection on the top. It is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt memory, which can be expanded via microSD card.

In term of optics, the Dual-SIM Nokia 6 smartphone packs a 16-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfie enthusiasts. The GSM handset is backed up by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery with fast-charging support and runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Additional features of the smartphone include a fingerprint sensor housed underneath the home button, stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos audio enhancement.
