OnePlus 3 Soft Gold Variant Saturday Launch Confirmed in India

OnePlus has earlier announced that the Soft Gold variant of OnePlus 3 will be unveiled in the first week of October across the country. Holding back on its statement, the company on Thursday has made an official announcement, that it will launch the latest soft gold variant of the OnePlus 3 on 1st October 2016 across the country. The upcoming variant will be exclusively available via Amazon India.

The OnePlus 3 Soft Gold variant will come with the same price tag as the Graphite color variant, which was launched in past June in the country. The Soft Gold variant of this model first made its debut in Canada, Europe and Hong Kong on August 1.

The GSM based OnePlus 3 features a 5.5-inch full-HD Optic AMOLED display with an additional protection of Gorilla Glass 4. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and runs OxygenOS based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The smartphone packs a home button which sports a fingerprint sensor. The device is also blessed with capacitive hardware keys, apart from an alert slider.

The Android smartphone is fueled with a 16-megapixel rear camera coupled with a Sony IMX 298 sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, OIS and EIS, PDAF autofocus, RAW image support, 4K video recording support and a Smile Capture Mode. Apart from that, the handset bears a front shooter along with a Sony IMX179 sensor, a f/2.0 aperture on the fixed focus lens, and benefits from EIS. It also has an ability to record a video at 1080p. The Dual-SIM smartphone packs 64GB of inbuilt storage, which can not be further expanded.

OnePlus 3 modem on the board features 4G LTE Cat. 6 connectivity, with India’s LTE bands support. Extra connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC (Unlike the OnePlus 2), USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS/A-GPS. The device is powered by a non-removable 3000mAh battery, which comes with a Dash Charge adapter.
