OnePlus 5T Launched With 6-inch FHD Display at 32999

Finally, OnePlus brought its much anticipated OnePlus 5T launched at an event in New York which was live streamed almost globally. The OnePlus 5T is a much-hyped smartphone in the world of Android and tech enthusiasts. The new OnePlus 5T is blessed with a screen size of 6.01-inch full HD+ bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Also, the OnePlus 5T has dual cameras with large aperture lens to accommodate more and more in one photo.

Also, the company has given a major relief to the smartphone buyers by settling the price of OnePlus 5T same with the previously launched OnePlus 5 i.e. the OnePlus 5T price in India for 6GB/64GB variants is INR 32,999 while the bigger 8GB/128GB variant of OnePlus 5T price in India is INR 37,999. Talking about the colour and availability of OnePlus 5T in India, it will be available in only Midnight black colour variant as of now with exclusive to Amazon India but one can also buy OnePlus 5T from OnePlus online stores in India.

The OnePlus 5T will go on sale exclusively for Amazon Prime members at 4:30 pm IST on November 21 on Amazon India portal. While this is not the only way to get a hands-on OnePlus latest smartphone, one can also participate in early access sale on OnePlusStore.in and OnePlus Experience Store altogether. One thing to consider is that the company has been watching India as an important market as it will be open selling OnePlus 5T in the USA and European markets along with India at the same time.

Coming to the specifications of OnePlus 5T, it runs on OxygenOS 4.7 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and sports a 6.01-inch full-HD+ (1080x1920 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 401ppi pixel density, and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The processor on the latest OnePlus is an octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, clocked at up to 2.45GHz, paired with either 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

The camera on OnePlus 5T is a dual camera with the primary sensor being a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor with 1.12-micron pixels, and an aperture of f/1.7 with an upgraded focal length of 27.22mm. The secondary is a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K sensor retaining 1-micron pixel size1-micron pixel size with the same aperture to f/1.7 and focal length to 27.22mm like a primary camera. The recording can be done at 1080p videos at 30fps.

The connectivity features of OnePlus 5T includes 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz, 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO 2x2, Bluetooth v5.0 with aptX and aptX HD, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C (v2.0) port. The sensors on board are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and an RGB sensor.

There is fingerprint sensor on the back unlike front sensor on the previous OnePlus 5 with face unlock feature, but the company stated the face unlock feature on OnePlus 5T will not work on a sensitive app like payment-related apps due to security reasons. The OnePlus 5T is backed by a 3300mAh non-removable battery and supports Dash Charge (5V, 4A) fast charging technology. The smartphone measures 156.1x75x7.3mm and weights 162 grams which are made up of the metal unibody, of anodised aluminium.
