OnePlus 6 With Under-Display Fingerprint Sensor Likely to Launch in March

It has been nearly one month since the OnePlus 5 was launched in India. According to the rumours, Shenzhen-based Chinese mobile manufacturing company will be planning to reveal the next OnePlus smartphone, likely to be titled with OnePlus 6. The highlighting feature of the upcoming flagship is under- display fingerprint sensor. One of the fastest fingerprint sensors has been offered by the Shenzhen-based mobile manufacturing company since the launch of the OnePlus 2 that was launched earlier in July 2015. Recently, face- unlock feature has been developed by the OnePlus company which is similar to Apple's Face ID.

According to the reports of GizmoChina, Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturing company will be planning to unveil the latest flagship smartphone in the mid of March, whereas it will be available for the purchase by the month end. The upcoming flagship smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip that was disclosed earlier this month. It is announced that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with first Snapdragon 845 SoC which is the competitor of OnePlus.

OnePlus 6 With Under-Display Fingerprint Sensor

According to the GizmoChina, reported that the OnePlus 6 will feature an underglass fingerprint sensor – likely to be called under-display fingerprint sensor. It is quite possible that OnePlus will relocate the position of the fingerprint sensor in its upcoming smartphone. With the launch of OnePlus 5T, the position of fingerprint sensor has been shifted from front to back. It is more convenient for the users that the smartphone will have a front-facing fingerprint sensor so now company is focusing on the under-display fingerprint technology in its upcoming flagship smartphone.

Both Qualcomm and Synaptics, companies are working on under-display fingerprint technology in cooperation with several smartphone manufacturers. Synaptics reported that nearly 70 million units of in-display sensors will be available for purchase in the market from next year. It is rumoured that the Vivo might come up with the Synaptics sensor that could be part of its upcoming smartphones in the near future and it would be the first OEM with the technology.

It is assumed that under-display fingerprint sensor technology might be showcased at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 in Las Vegas in succeeding month. The upcoming flagship of OnePlus would be the first range of smartphones along with the new technologies for the mass population.
