Japanese smartphone maker Panasonic has now brought another new smartphone for its user base. The new smartphone dubbed as Panasonic T50 is originally priced at INR 4,990. As per the reports, the newly released product will be made available in three color variants rose gold, champagne gold, and midnight blue.
The highlight of the budget smartphone is the company's own Sail UI, which it says is the "smoothest Android user interface yet." At the time of unveiling the product, Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India said, "Our latest introduction in the Indian market is a novelty because it arrives with the launch of Panasonic's in-house software, the SAIL user interface. The UI is even integrated into a specialized SAIL camera. It is an app-driven smartphone which combines 3G connectivity and multi-app smoothness for a flawless user experience in a handheld device."
As per reports, the company has customized the Sail UI on Panasonic T50 as per Google's Android 5.1 Lollipop version, and the company touts that the user interface has 'Advanced launcher settings' such as Batch Arranging, File Manager, and Gesture Control. The interface has also been integrated into the smartphone's 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and the front-facing 2-megapixel cameras in a way that the UI gives nine beauty camera modes to its users so as to enable them to tweak the images easily. Some of the modes included are Pose mode, Child mode, and Watermark. Apart from the different camera modes, the smartphone also comes equipped with a number of Free themes and other special effects.
In terms of specs, the Panasonic T50 supports dual-SIM functionality and features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display that gives a resolution of 480x854 pixels. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It offers an inbuilt storage capacity of 8GB, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. On the connectivity front, the device supports 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Micro-USB options and houses a 1600mAh battery. Dimensionally, it measures 131.7x66.3x8.8mm.
