Panasonic Unveils Two New 3G Enabled Smartphones in India

Panasonic the Japanese manufacturing company on Friday revealed two new budget-friendly Android smartphones for its Indian buyers dubbed as the Panasonic T30 and Panasonic T44. The organization states that these new handsets are designed and manufactures keeping the focus majorly on the Tier II and Tier III markets in India.

The Panasonic T30 has been priced at INR 3,290 which is one of the best affordable smartphones under the 5k category, while the other handset Panasonic T44 comes at a price of INR 4,290. The company has decided to unveil both the handsets in different color sets. As per reports, the Panasonic T44 will be made available in three color variants namely Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, and Electric Blue while, the Panasonic T30, on the contrary, would be accessible in Metallic Silver, Metallic Gold, and Steel Gray color variants. Additionally, the company has decided to include a free defensive screen monitor for its Panasonic buyer's worth Rs. 299.

In terms of specifications, both the new Dual-SIM smartphones look way similar as both the devices feature a 4-inch WVGA display that gives a resolution of 480x800 pixels and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. Additionally, the handsets offer a basic 5-megapixel camera on the rear end while the front side comes with a minimal 2-megapixel camera. Not just this, the GSM-handsets also supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS/EDGE, Micro-USB, GPS, and Micro-USB option in terms of connectivity.

Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, "With the introduction of two new smartphones T44 and T30, we aim to create a perfect value proposition targeting our consumers in tier II and tier III cities. India being a value-driven market, the consumers are seeking more productivity, efficiency, entertainment, multitasking and better connectivity, with T44 we offer Android 6.0 Marshmallow in a 4-inch smartphone and a long lasting 2400mAh battery and T30 is easy to hold the device that fits perfectly in the palm with a metallic finish."

The latest smartphones despite being similar in many ways come with certain differences as well in terms of memory storage, Operating System, Battery backup and others. The Panasonic T30 operates on Android Lollipop OS v 5.1 Lollipop and comes with 512MB of RAM capacity. It further encompasses 4GB of memory storage capacity which is expandable up to 32GB by using an external microSD card. The device in the terms of dimensions measures 126x64x10.3mm. and is powered by a 1400mAh battery.

The Panasonic T44, unlike its sibling, operates on latest Android version i.e., Android v6.0 Marshmallow-based Panasonic Sail UI and comes with double RAM capacity as showcased in Panasonic T30. The device offers 1GB of RAM and packs 8GB of storage capacity which is again expandable up to 32GB using an external microSD card. The device gets powered by a 2400mAh battery and dimensionally measures 127.3x66x9.65mm.
