China witnessed the launch of the new budget phone Redmi 7 after Redmi 6 which made its place in China market last year in 2018. Along with the launch of this latest easy affordable invention Redmi 7, the event accompanied the launch of China variant of the Redmi Note 7 Pro as well, the new model which has already been unveiled in India last month.
The Redmi 7 comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC while Redmi Note 7 Pro features a Snapdragon 675 SoC.
Redmi 7 runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. The phone comes with dual nano sim options and features a 6.26-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset mated with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, further expandable via a microSD card.
The phone features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection along with an 84% NTSC color gamut. The smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery and a rear fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include USB , 4G VoLTE, infrared (IR) blaster ,Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS , and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Photography is supported by the dual-camera setup of 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras, resembles the Indian variant of Redmi Note 7. The phone houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with several other features like AI Smart Beauty, Selfie Timer, and Face Unlock among others.

Redmi 7 arrives with the same ‘dot notch’ design and gradient finish as seen in the Redmi Note 7 series. In terms of pricing, Redmi 7 price in China is fixed at CNY 699 (approx Rs. 7,100) , CNY 799 (approx Rs. 8,200) & CNY 999 (approx Rs. 10,200) for the 2GB RAM/ 16GB , 3GB RAM/ 32GB and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage options respectively.
All the variants of the phone will be available in Dream Blue, Charm Night Red, and Bright Black color and its first sale in China market will begin on March 26, at 10 a.m local time.

Redmi Note 7 comes with stylish gradient glass design and tinier notches on the front. The Indian variant of the Redmi Note 7 Pro made debut in India last month with a price tag of Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant.
In China, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 7 Pro with a price tag of CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,300) for 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage configuration.
