Samsung to start manufacturing Tizen Based Z1 smartphone at Noida Plant

It seems like Samsung is all prepared to give a tough competition to Android through its Tizen based smartphone. After launching the Samsung smartphone in India. Now company is planning to start production of the same in India. The Korean tech giant has plans to manufacture Samsung Z1 in its Noida plant.

Being a product of company's own operating system, this smartphone's parts are finally coming to India to assemble here. The company has begun sending the parts for its Noida plant where it will get assembled to make a new Samsung Z1. The handset was launched in India at the very affordable price tag of Rs. 5,700 with the aim of expanding its Tizen based devices' market worldwide.

Asim Warasi, the Vice President of Samsung India told PTI, "he compelling proposition of an easy to use and clutter free interface [of Z1], along with premium design has met wide consumer acceptance... The Z1 will be manufactured in company's Noida plant in UP."

As he told that the Noida plant has the capability to fulfill the need of manufacturing an enough amount of units. Yeah, the plant is capable to produce four million mobile phones a month and can manufacture both affordable and high-end devices at available premises. Warasi also told that the handset will soon reach Bangladesh to lure more customers.

Since the day of its launching in India, the South Korean tech giant has been sold out around 50,000 to 55,000 units of Z1 smartphone. The handset got a very great attention beyond the expectation and it could be the reason to start manufacturing of such device in India. At present, very few device which run on the Tizen OS. Mostly the smartwatches are powered by this platform. Samsung has brought its Tizen based devices to defeat the Android market which is already upped in ante. Several types of alternative operating systems are available in market to run on smartphones including iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry OS and Android.
