Sony Xperia L2 Wide-Angle Selfie Phone Launched In India

The new offering from the Sony Xperia family, the Sony Xperia L2, was launched in India this Monday. The smartphone is available in two color variants i.e Black and Gold. The smartphone comes with 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera, rear-facing fingerprint sensor and has been priced at Rs. 19,990.

The phone’s global launch was at CES 2018 in Las Vegas last month. The Japanese phone maker also showcased the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra at the event. Let’s look at some of the specifications.

Display

The budget smartphone supports dual-Sim and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. Sony\'s proprietary Image Enhance Technology adds that extra edge to the 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Processor and Camera

The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The rear camera is 13-megapixel with a f/2.0 aperture and the front camera has an 8-megapixel camera sensor. Further, the front camera also has 120-degree wide angle lens with a f/2.4 aperture.

Storage and Connectivity

The smartphone comes equipped with 32GB onboard storage. It also has dedicated microSD card slot for those who want to increase storage space up to 256GB. On the connectivity front, the Xperia L2 has Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2,4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and USB Type-C.

Audio and Battery

Like the previous generation, the phones audio features like Clear Audio+ and Clear Bass audio add to the phones USP. On the battery front, the phone has great endurance and longevity. The handset’s 178gm weighing 3300mAh battery will never disappoint you. It supports STAMINA mode and the Qnovo Adaptive Charging increases battery life by adjusting the charging current. Battery dimensions are 150x78x9.8mm. The phone comes packed with pre-installed apps like AR Effect, Xperia Lounge and Movie Creator for a fun and engaged user experience.
