Sony Xperia XZ2 was unveiled at Mobile World Congress (2018) this year in February and now it seems that the Japanese company is working on its successor likely to be dubbed as Sony Xperia XZ3 which has started appearing on the internet in the form of leaks ahead of official launch. A new leak has revealed the specifications of Xperia XZ3 which is to be the successor of Xperia XZ2. As per the leaks, it is anticipated that the flagship smartphone might debut at IFA 2018 in August, Berlin, Germany.Xperia XZ2 Premium was launched by the Japanese giant in April 2018 featuring 4K display and dual rear cameras.
The Xperia XZ3 is likely to come with same dual rear cameras that we have earlier seen on Xperia XZ2 Premium. As per the leaks, it is anticipated that the it would feature top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with Adreno 630 GPU. It would be equipped with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB internal storage that will be further extended up to 400GB by using a memory card.
An alleged Xperia XZ3 is likely to come with 5.7-inch Full HD+display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and trending 18:9 aspect ratio. The flagship will be certified with IP68 which protect the smartphone from water and dust particles. It is anticipated that it would come with a metallic unibody design and protected with Corning Gorilla glass on both sides. It is speculated that the Xperia XZ3 might be 1mm lighter and 15 grams thinner as compared to Xperia XZ2.
As per the specification sheet which was appeared on the internet suggested that the sony Xperia XZ3 would be powered by a 3,240mAh battery with the support of Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 and measure 153 x 72 x 10.1mm whereas its predecessor has 3,180mAh battery, measures 153x72x 11.1mm and weigh 198 grams.
In terms of camera department, it is speculated that the Xperia XZ3 is likely to come with dual-rear cameras with the combination of 19-megapixel primary camera and 12-megapixel secondary camera, whereas the Xperia XZ2 has a single 19- megapixel rear camera. At the front, the flagship smartphone would sport a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
