Spice will Bring Android One and Firefox OS Smartphones before Diwali

It seems like the renowned international brands are looking to Indian market to enlarge their business and to redouble their products’ demand. In this storm of smartphones, two vital companies of Internet world are coming to knock your socks off. Yes, the names are Google and Mozilla. Both have already arrived in smartphone market. As Google is the old player in this foray while Mozilla is not so old. Now the point is, both have made partnership with Indian mobile manufacturer to bring their smartphones in Indian market. Google has tied up with Micromax, Spice and Karbonn. On the other side Mozilla has tied up with Spice and Intex.

Android One Smartphone of Spice

In this league, Spice is the first one who is going to introduce Android One smartphone and Firefox OS based smartphone. The domestic mobile maker is working on the much awaited projects of Mozilla and Google i.e. Android One smartphone and Firefox OS Smartphone, priced at only Rs. 6000 and Rs. 1500 respectively. And, both devices are expected to give the tough competition to world’s smartphone market. Spice has announced on Wednesday to introduce most awaited Firefox OS and Android One Smartphones before Diwali.

Both phones are designed and developed to boost the budget market with their affordable price tag. "We were chosen for our innovation, we are among the chosen few to work with these global giants to bring these devices to India," said T M Ramakrishnan, Spice Retail CEO Devices. Spice is going to grow its revenue from 1400 crore to 2000 crore this financial year.

Firefox OS Smartphone by Spice

To bring these new inventions first in India is just because of the market of smartphones over here which is increasing day by day at very fast pace. As 17.59 million smartphones have been shipped to India already in the first quarter of 2014, which is comparatively very high from last year’s (2013) 6.14 million.
