Asus, Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer sent invites to press media regarding the “launch of latest flagship Zenfone in India, which is set to be conducted on October 17 in New Delhi.
Currently, it is not confirmed that which Zenfone smartphones would be unveiled by Asus at a scheduled event in India but the leaks are suggesting that Asus would be planning to add two more Asus Zenfone smartphones in its successful Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 line up.
Asus has received a great response since the launch of Zenfone Max Pro M1 which was introduced in India in the month of April 2018. So, Asus has planned to unveil two new Zenfone smartphones which are likely to be called as Max Pro M2 and the ZenFone Max M2.
Recently, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 have been spotted on the certification listing of the Eurasian Economic Commission in Russia with the model numbers ZB633KL and ZB631KL respectively.
Both of the upcoming Zenfone smartphones are expected to run on Android 8.0 Oreo - out-of-box. It is anticipated that the alleged Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 would compete against the likes of recently launched Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro.
However, Asus has not revealed the detailed specifications of the upcoming Zenfone smartphones. Both of the upcoming Zenfone smartphones are expected to come with display notch, bezel-less display along with 18:9 aspect ratio and massive batteries.
Furthermore, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 are said to feature dual cameras on the rear panel, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC rather than Snapdragon 636 that Asus had offered on the Zenfone Max Pro M1.
Zenfone Max Pro M1 came with up to 6GB RAM variants so it is anticipated that the Asus would offer up to 8GB RAM in its upcoming smartphones. In terms of lens, Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 are expected to come with dual cameras on the rear panel similar to Zenfone Max M1 but this time the company would offer some upgradations in camera lenses.
To recall, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 features with a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor on the rear panel. The launch event will commence at 12:30 PM IST on October 17. Asus will also be planning to schedule the live streaming of both smartphones at company’s official page and YouTube channel.
