Unveiled: Huawei Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8 Plus, Enjoy 8e With Dual Cameras

In addition to the Paris launch of the premium P20 lineup, this week Huawei also unveiled three new smartphones. The three new offerings namely: Huawei Enjoy 8, Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus, and Huawei Enjoy 8e are successors to the Enjoy 7 lineup and come packed in exciting new features will be available for sale in China via VMall. These mid-range smartphones boast of dual camera setups and 18:9 displays. As per reports, Huawei Enjoy 8 has striking similarities with the Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 which was launched just a week earlier. Also, initial reactions suggest that the Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus is simply a rebranded version of the Huawei Y9 (2018) released in Thailand at the beginning of this month.

Huawei has very carefully priced these budget offerings for the Chinese market. The company has released only one variant of the Enjoy 8e with a comparatively lower price tag of CNY 1,099 (roughly Rs. 11,400). The Huawei Enjoy 8 comes in two RAM variants. The 3GB RAM and the 4GB RAM variant priced at CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs. 13,500) and CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,500) respectively. The Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus has variants with inbuilt 64GB and 128 GB respectively. The 64 GB variant has a price tag of CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 17,600), whereas the 128 GB would cost potential buyers around CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 19,700). In addition to the above memory options, smartphone lovers will have a range of color options for all the three offerings. This includes Blue, Gold, Pink and Black color variants.

The Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus supports dual sim and surpasses the Huawei Enjoy 8 in performance. It is powered by the octa-core Kirin 659 processor with a processing frequency of 2.36GHz. The Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 running smartphone comes in a single 4GB RAM variant with 64GB and 128GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB).
