Videocon has added a new member in the family of smartphone named as Z55 Dash. As per the company, the mobile has been completely manufactured in India, hence it has been launched under the initiative of "Make in India". As per its availability is concerned, Z55 dash will be made available exclusively via Flipkat at a price of INR6,490.
Now, diving into the specifications, Videocon Z55 Dash is a 5-inch smartphone with IPS technology along with Dragontail Glass (similar to the Corning's Gorilla Glass). Powered with 1.4GHz octa-core processor and 1GBRAM, this android phone gives a storage capability of 8GB, which can easily be expanded up to 32GB by using a MicroSD card. In terms of photography, 8MP rear camera with LED flash support and a 5MP front camera is allotted in this handset. The phone runs on Android 4.4.2 (Kitkat), but no up-gradation information is available for the phone till now.
On the connectivity front, the phone is supplemented with all the commonly available tools including Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3G. For better power, 2200mAh battery pack is also supported by Z55 Dash.
Being a low budget gadget, the phone is highly capable to compete with many others in the list, including Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, Lava Iris X1 Selfie, Micromax Canvas Fire 3 and many more. But, being a new rival in the low budget price range, it will be interesting to watch the user's response.
