Vivo V5s With 20-Megapixel Selfie Camera Launched in India at Rs 18,990

Vivo has finally introduced its V5s smartphone on Thursday at an event in Gurugram along with a price tag of Rs 18,990. Pre-orders for the handset has started from the same day of launching, and the first sale is scheduled for May 6. Only the Matte Black colour variant of the new smartphone will be available on May 6, while the Crown Gold colour will be available from May 20.

As per the specifications are concerned, the Android smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD IPS 2.5D Curved Glass display of resolution 720 x 1280 pixels along with Gorilla Glass protection, and a pixel density of 267 ppi. The handset runs Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM.

The highlighting feature of the Dual-SIM smartphone is its front camera. It is blessed with a 20-megapixel front camera along with a 'Moonlight Glow' front light, a f/2.0 aperture, and the pre-installed Face Beauty 6.0 app. It also packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and dual-LED flash. Moreover, the company is also touting the availability of the AK 4376 Hi-Fi Audio chip on the board. These two features together make the Vivo V5s really a “Camera and Music” smartphone.

The GSM handset also features 64GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM format. It is backed up by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery and includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Micro-USB with OTG, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as connectivity options. Sensors on the board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, and a virtual gyroscope.
