Vivo X9s, X9s Plus China Launch Fixed for July 6; India Launch Expected Soon

Vivo, the leading Chinese smartphone manufacturer has confirmed to launch its X9s and X9s Plus smartphones in the home market on July 6, 2017. The highlighting feature of the successor models of company’s previously launched X9 and X9 Plus is supposed to be the availability of dual selfie camera setup. Rest of the specifications of both the smartphones are still rumoured.

The company has started rolling out media invites for the X9s and the X9s Plus launch on July 6. The invites include a girl holding a smartphone (either X9s or X9s Plus) with half of it inside her shirt pocket. The upper half of the smartphone shown in the invite shows a rear camera coupled with a LED flash module. The upcoming handsets are supposed to feature similar design language as their predecessors.

According to some reports by TENAA, the Vivo X9s Plus is believed to be blessed with a 5.85-inch full HD OLED display and will run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is said to be powered by a 1.95GHz octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage. Coming next to the highlight, the handset features a dual selfie camera setup including a 20-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. The company has also provided a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash for having an amazing photography experience. Lastly, it will be backed up by a 3,920mAh battery.

Though Vivo did not launch its X9 series in India, still, looking at its market in India, it is highly possible that the company will launch the X9s series here. Moreover, the company has refused the availability of an on-screen fingerprint sensor in the smartphone. MWC Shanghai 2017 will start from tomorrow and is believed to witness the new smartphone launch.
