Will 5-inch Asus ZenFone 2 be the Next variant to Announce?

Asus is looking forward to start the series of ZenFone 2 which company had exhibited at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. You had seen the 5.5-inch model of this new segment and now soon this device will be getting a younger brother. Few images have been found online which are suggesting a variant of the recently announced ZenFone 2.

An unofficial Asus-Zenfone blog has come out with few images. After looking at these purported images, one can easily speculate that a smaller variant will take birth on smartphone world which could be a cheaper version also. However, it is said that the upcoming ZenFone 2 model will be identical in design. On the specification side, it is expected to equip with 5-inch display which may offer HD 720x1280 pixels resolution, while the available model has full-HD display.

When talking about the performance, it is said that the upcoming variant will take power from Intel’s Atom Z3560 processor and will pack with 2GB of RAM. We inform all the unawares that the original Asus ZenFone 2 had been introduced with two processor and two RAM options. So, it could be possible that this rumoured variant would be the next variant of the original ZenFone 2 or it could be a separate model.

The original one is pledged to provide both Intel Atom Z3580 and Z3560 processor along with 4GB or 2GB RAM as different variants. On the other side, reports have suggested the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS support with ZenUI and 4G LTE connectivity for the upcoming ZenFone 2 variant. That’s the all about this imagined version. Well, earlier a report had tipped for another cheaper variant with Qualcomm and MediaTek’s chipset. It is reported that the Qualcomm based ZenFone 2 will hit market in second quarter of this year and the MediaTek based variant will also announce which will support 3G network to target Indian market.
