Wistron To Manufacture High End iPhones in India Soon

There’s happy news for India as well as Apple because at last Wistron got permission from the IT ministry of India to open a Wistron factory which will cost $1 billion to manufacture. The factory will produce Apple iPhone 8 along with the iPhone 6S, SE, and AirPods which are at present “made in India” and is made with 40 per cent cost-saving factor for the Indian users.

Other than this factory, Foxconn project is also in the development for “Make in India” startup which is expected to manufacture iPhone XS and XS Max in the country. As per the rumors, Foxconn is trying to make his foot stronger in India from past more than 2 years i.e from May 2016.

In the Wistron deal, it is also said to get the permission from the India Cabinet to get the green signal for construction. Wistron is producing Indian based variants of the halted iPhone SE and iPhone 6S which are 40 percent lower-cost than being imported.

The market share of Apple in India is not very much successful so by “Make in India” initiative, they want to strong their roots in India which will also help the Indian economy to grow as well as it will enhance their market share in India. We all know that iPhones are very much expensive for Indian customers so reducing the price will make the iPhone more reachable in the country.
