Xiaomi's Mi-5 and Power bank to get available openly for all from May 4

Quite recently, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi announced a flash sale for its major flagship products Redmi Note 3, Mi 5 and the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank via the official website Mi.com and e-commerce website Amazon and had promised users to navigate the product range to other e-commerce websites too. As per the latest reports, the company is now all set to open both its March announced product Mi 5 and the 20,000mAh power bank openly for all its consumers without the need of any prior registrations.

One must recall that Chinese conglomerate brought only one variant of Android smartphone for the Indian users - an edition that was usually referred as 'Standard Edition' in the Chinese markets. The Indian price had been set nearly for INR 24,999 and sports 3GB RAM coupled with 32GB of onboard storage.

Xiaomi Mi 5 sporting 5.15-inch full-HD display

Talking about the specifications of the smartphone, the Dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) Xiaomi Mi 5 highlights a 5.15-inch full-HD display giving a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and a pixel density of 428ppi sporting bended 3D Ceramic glass. It operates on the latest Android operating system i.e., Android Marshmallow. In terms of hardware, the smartphone is controlled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor combined with Adreno 530 GPU and sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 camera sensor with OIS, PDAF (stage discovery self-adjust) and LED streak. It allows 4K video recording and equips a sapphire glass assurance lens. On the front side, the handset wears a 4-UltraPixel front camera, with 2-micron pixels.

Dimensionally, the GSM-handset measures 144.5x69.2x7.25mm and carries a weight of 129 grams. The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support that as per company claims is 20 percent faster than the Quick Charge 2.0 technology. Lastly, the device apart from featuring a USB Type-C port also offers standard connectivity options like the presence of VoLTE bolster, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/air conditioning, 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, Glonass, and NFC technique.
