Xiaomi Mi 5 Tipped to Come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC

As we know, Xiaomi has a bevy of new smartphones to launch this year, which are namely- Mi 4s, Redmi Note 2 & Note 2 Pro and hotly-anticipated Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus. Well, this time we are going to discuss about forthcoming member of corporation's Mi series: Mi 5, whose some new aspects have come into view by the courtesy of a Chinese website: Mobile Dad.

If the report is to be believed, then handset will be powered by yet-to-be introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and will feature 5.5-inch Quad-HD display. Notably, new report contradicts the earlier one, in which predecessor of this above mentioned processor: Snapdragon 810 and a smaller screen size of 5.2-inch had been mentioned.

The mobile maker could incorporate 4GB RAM and USB Type-C port into gadget to increase its selling point. Memory-wise, Xiaomi Mi 5 might be launched in two storage variants: 16GB and 64GB. Coming to camera department, phone is expected to be fitted with a 16-megapixel complemented by optical image stabilization. The front panel of mobile could comprise an 8-megapixel sensor.

Most importantly, it may accommodate Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint identification program, so there will not be any capacitive sensor or a button on the body of device. Coming to appearance and build, upcoming handheld will have 5.1mm of thickness and it will be crafted by aluminum material. Moreover, gadget has been speculated to hit the shelves of retail stores before the end of this year.
