Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is Set to Launch on 25th May in China

The well knowned Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi has announced the successor of Mi Max, the Mi Max 2, which will be launching on 25th May in China. The company has reportedly launched a dedicated website where it is mocking the upcoming smartphone Mi Max 2.

At the dedicated website, it discloses some of the features of the latest Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The Android smartphone will be powered by a 5000mAh battery and sports 6.44inch full HD display. According to rumours, the website also disclosed that the phone will go on sale in China after the launch. The company has also teased the launch information on Weibo website.

According to leaks and rumours, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Dual-SIM handset will be available in two storage variants; first one is  4GB of RAM along with Snapdragon 626 SoC and the second one is 6GB of RAM with Snapdragon 660 SoC which is expected to be sold at a price tag of CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 14,000) and CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 15,900) respectively.

From the camera front, it is expected to sport 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It is supposed that rear camera to be coupled with Sony IMX378 sensor.

According to the leaked images, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 GSM smartphone is likely to come with the metal body. The fingerprint scanner will be placed in the centre at the rear side of the phone similar to Mi Max whereas 3.5mm audio jack is placed on the top of the device. The device is packed with a dual speaker grille at the bottom edge of the smartphone and USB Type-C port.
